I am able to undertake repairs on most of Yamaha’s range of musical instruments and amplifier equipment even if Yamaha have ended support for your equipment or instrument.

Keyboards

Most keyboards are quite easily serviceable and require little to no attention. I usually offer an inspection of any keyboard and can offer simple but effective repairs. Common problems such as sticky, quiet or loud notes on the keyboard or keys that simply just don’t work are common and easily repaired problems. Even if the keyboard no longer powers on, this can more than often be rectified for a low cost. In some cases, I am also able to supply new or replacement keys if any have been damaged or broken.

Pianos / Clavinovas

These are very reliable piano keyboards and although more complex than a keyboard, their servicing is simpler in most cases with common problems being sticking or stuck keys. In most cases these repairs are simple and can be done in your own home with a single home visit by myself. Another problem that many people find is an increase in thumping or knocking noise generated by the hammer mechanism. This is common in piano keyboards that see a lot of use either short or long term and can be addressed and completely deadened to near silent levels with the right work and renewing of parts. Again, this can often be done with a single home visit by myself.

Home visits are often the best way to address problems with these as they are large and heavy units which can be difficult to transport. If however, you would like me to repair your piano offsite, I can do this and have the means to transport it to my workshops if required.

PA Amps / Powered Mixers

I have worked on a number of different types of Yamaha PA equipment from powered speakers to mixer amps and can perform basic servicing such as cleaning and servicing faders and pots to diagnosing and repairing a dead or faulty unit. I am able to replace most parts like for like and have access to genuine Yamaha spares.
