Hardware: The Computer
One of the most critical parts of the process is getting the Hardware correct. Without the right hardware, Hauptwerk’s performance can be less than satisfactory, running slowly or with long delays between pressing a key and hearing the note. I have a great deal of experience in computer hardware and can put together a streamlined bespoke system with the sole purpose of making sure Hauptwerk runs as effortlessly and quickly as possible.
Hauptwerk requires a computer system to run and usually either a Windows or Apple operating system.
Having worked in the IT industry for over ten years building and designing computers, I can design systems to meet your individual needs. My systems are built with a number of key points in mind.

With these points in mind, it is possible to start with a basic system and design it with a view to boost or upgrade the system for the smallest cost possible in the future. All hardware is chosen with the customer in mind and in view of the customers requirements, both present and future for the system.
My systems are designed to run both silently and as cool as possible. Each system is carefully tested to ensure that it remains cool and quiet even when being pushed to its limits to ensure improved reliability and peace of mind when using the instrument.
