Leslie Cabinet
The Conn features a fully operational built in Leslie cabinet that is used solely on the Tibia voices to provide a real tremolo or chorus effect. The cabinet can remain in an “off” position and be used as a conventional speaker, or it can be used in either fast, “tremolo” mode or in the slower “chorus” mode which provides a pleasing gentle effect especially effective in church or hymnal music.
Other Features
I. Console lighting
The console has built in lighting around the stop tabs and switches with a 3-stage dimmer meaning that you can always see clearly what each stop tab will do.
II. Modifier thumb pistons
There are a set of six thumb pistons above the upper manual which adjust the voicing and mix of the organ. Pressing these will change the balance of the organ allowing you to bring out the reed or pulse voices while damping the Tibias or vice versa amongst other things.
III. Phantom Bass
An additional function which works when holding down a pedal. The Phantom bass will play a bass note equivalent to the pitch of the pedal you are holding down whenever you play a series of notes on the lower manual. This can be a useful feature for adding colour and tempo to a piece.
IV. Stereo Express
Stereo Express serves to alter the voicing of the Tibia section that can enhance their volume above the rest of the organ for solos or to improve the stereo presence of the Tibias.
V. Voicing customisation
In addition to all of this, there are a further eight tabs which make adjustments to the voicing and response of the organ. Two of these will enhance the highs or lows of the Tibia stops, adjust the expression of the Pedals, add reverb or sustain or change the tuning of the whole organ to suit a different style or add a chorus effect
